Synthesized Storyboards

-1-

I consider this a new meme. It's a synthesized storyboard. I can't claim internet memeship over words on picture, but I take screenplay text on image.

Let it be known afar that here today, we drove a stick into the internet mud. At least I love the little stories on these synth-storyboards or whatever kids are calling it these days.

God, thank you for the Internet--it's like the library of Alexandria in our pocket, and it's fully searchable; there's even games there, and places to repose and consider--marshes and bogs called blogs and social media.

The Internet is one of those tools that validates faith in mankind, elsewise reason points to systematic collapse throughout almost every sector within the next twenty to fifty years, with mankind holding the majority share for spurning collapse.

My generation, our generation if we're just now inheriting the world in our thirties, cannot have the same optimism of thirty year olds thirty years ago at the start of the Reagan Administration.

The solution is in this moment because we still have resources to save ourselves. We can stop overfishing before overfishing wipes us out terribly as well; we can begin making the soil fertile again; the water healthy, the air fresher.

The first answer for me now, is to spin it outwards--to begin with the self. To look into solar in earnest, to consider wrapping my water columns in energy converters that take up the heat from hot water going down the shower drain; in turn preheating the incoming fresh water reducing the energy drain on the water heater.

Let's do these things.

Let's ensure that when scientific estimates forecast the extinction of our species before the next century, that we should probably wonder at our own frameworks. How can we ensure clean soil? What ethic can sustainable practices coil around? How can we apply our ingenuity to a system that provides for all while maintaining negligible exhaust and intake?

The self-reflection is manifold, and the irritation at inactivity builds. This is the way of change. This restlessness must be treasured by the generation that has to maintain the species of the human race. Our generation is the generation this decision belongs to, because we inherited a world ripe with the powers to utterly destroy it.

CUT TO:

2. EXT - STREET CORNER OUTSIDE OFFICE BUILDING - DAY - 2

CAMERA PANS DOWN outside the OFFICE BUILDING. Eddie is walking out with firm steps. His eyes are darkly lit. Bloodshot. Parched. Reflective of Eddie's foot falls.

CAMERA TRACKS IN toward Eddie's face. He speaks to himself while staring at the body covered on the stretcher, repeating slowly in toothy mumbles as he frowns deeply.
